Lynz Crichton
Lynz Crichton is a proudly independent, award-winning
singer-songwriter and producer from Nottingham, in the UK. Her style
is reminiscent of female musicians like Jewel, Alison Krauss, or Aimee
Mann, but she has always loved artists like KT Tunstall and Grace
Potter too, and that definitely feeds through to her own music. She is
part of the new wave of independent musicians where friends of her
music are at the centre of everything she does, and in the last few
years she has managed to grab the attention of over 30k followers on
Twitter alone.
Lynz won a national UK songwriting competition in 2017 where she got
to work with songwriters, producers and engineers from MOBO Awards and
Metropolis Studios in London, but since then she has gone on to
self-release 3 EPs, the most recent of which had airplay on BBC
Introducing. “The thing that seems to resonate with the Crichton Clan
most is the fact that I include them in the music creation process”.
From the songwriting, to choosing artwork for the EPs, and even
naming the projects, Lynz constantly asks her audience what they like
the sound of, and even lets them vote on which songs to include. 2020
sees her touring her own signature concert which showcases these songs
and the stories behind them, as well as dishing tasty secrets about
the new and old music industry. She also writes personalised bespoke
songs for people, for a variety of occasions - If YOU would like Lynz
to come and play for you, write a song as a gift to a loved one, or if
you are a musician and need help and advice regarding your own career,
