“What Separates Us” is ultimately a round-trip journey within: a story told in seven parts. It sweeps you into a place of bohemian bliss, tethered to an alternative aural environment that is deeply rooted in hip-hop. As the EP progresses, it’ll transport you to smoother pastures, rich with the influence of Jazz and Soul. The sound returns once again to embrace unconventional ideals, ripe with melodic harmony and sonorous brass.
